Get to Know Greg Herrle

Greg is a dedicated father to two children, Alma and Norman, and a loving husband to his wife, Ruth. He has been actively involved with Cristo Rey since its inception ten years ago, initially serving as a soccer coach and most recently as a member of the Finance Committee for the past five years. Greg also collaborates with various community organizations that provide educational growth opportunities both locally and globally. His passion for financial well-being enables him to contribute to the stability and strategic growth of these non-profit organizations. Above all, he cherishes the time he spends with his family, enjoying activities such as traveling, playing games, cooking, and simply being together.

Professionally, Greg is a healthcare actuary at Milliman. In this role, he collaborates with great colleagues to help clients understand the financial implications of key decisions. He takes pride in developing financial strategies and solutions to ensure that healthcare is accessible to some of society’s most vulnerable populations, particularly those participating in state Medicaid programs. Greg is fortunate to work with key stakeholders, including government employees, medical providers such as hospital associations and physicians, and patient advocates, all of whom are genuinely committed to improving the financial and physical well-being of these individuals.

Greg has watched friends (Jim Russell) and colleagues (Eric Goetsch) participate in past Merengue events and knows he has big (dancing) shoes to fill. He is excited for the challenge it presents, grateful for the opportunity to continue promoting Cristo Rey, and hopeful the audience will be forgiving of his (lack of) dance skills!
